When registering, be sure to ask each store’s policy for returns of duplicates and damaged items. For damaged items it is usually the shipper who takes responsibility. If the item was shipped directly from the store, ask for a replacement. If the item was sent through a shipping company, call the gift giver and let them know what has happened. To avoid returning items, periodically go back to the stores and delete the things you have received. This is also a good time to look for new items that may have come into the store.
