Get Fit for the Dress

?A bride will endure many challenges when planning herwedding, but avoiding weight gain can be one of the hardest to overcome. Often, bride's find themselves eating onthe go, stress eating, gobbling up the free celebration dinners, and enjoying treats with enough calories to send anyone sailing up the scale. The best way to avoid all the excess eating, and make sure that wedding dress is a perfect fit, is to create a plan that allows you to enjoy life's little pleasures without over indulging. Then you have to stick to it.

Making a plan will be the key for success. It sounds like a simple idea, but truly it can be. A great way to begin is bykeeping a food journal. This activity will help to identifyeating patterns, and create accountability. After one week, you should be able to start identifying problem areas. Forsome it will be grabbing a quick bite of fast food on the go,while others might struggle with late night snacking.Where ever the problem area is for you don't let it holdyou back.

Set your sites on target areas

For example, if you are an irregular eater or find that youoften get hungry while in the car, keeping a healthy snack on hand will help tide you over. By eating more regularly, you can keep your metabolism on the go. If soda is your second love, consider limiting yourself to one a day, or replacing it altogether with water. Try carrying water withyou, and you'll be surprised how much more you'll gulp. When you are in need of a bit more flavor, add an individual pack of a Crystal Light to your water, it is full of flavor and packs no sugar.

Don't be derailed by others.

Every person's eating habits are different. So if you live with a roommate, get your own cupboard and stock it full of healthy versions of your favorite snacks. These days almost everything comes in a 100 calorie pack, and it's easy to stash plenty of fruits and veggies in the fridge. Remember, if you find yourself having to search through lots of cookies and high sugar snacks, you'll be more likely to ?enjoy a few too many.

Couples enjoy eating together , but what happens when one of you gets home later than the other, and causes a late night eating session. If this is an issue, you may want to consider sticking to your own schedule, and saving a salad to enjoy with your partner when they arrive. Another common couple challenge maybe dining out. Often times this means large, high calorie portions.

Instead, simply ask the waiter to split your meal before it gets to you so that you have half for dinner and half to enjoy tomorrow. If this is not an option, have the salad first,or snack on a piece of fruit or healthy snack before arriving to the restaurant. This will help you eat less calories overall. Most important, don't forget that most restaurants offer low cal versions of many plates and often have an entire section of the menu specifically designed for the health conscious.

NEVER SKIP A CHANCE TO ENJOY A GREAT ATMOSPHERE AND SOME TIME FOR THE TWO OF YOU.

Indulge yourself! Don't be afraid to enjoy a cookie every now an then, and split a dessert with the love of your life. In fact one of the best ways to stay on track is by not depriving yourself. Set limits, keep track, and stick to your plan. You'll find yourself looking and feeling your best as you make your way down the aisle. Written by: Bobbi Powell
