4 Steps to Wedding Day Survival

?You've spent half the day getting your hair done, applying the perfect lip color, taking pictures with the girls, and you have 15 minutes before you must meet the man of your dreams at the alter. Things couldn't be going any smoother, when all of a sudden the good luck pin your mother wears at every wedding pops off. As she bends down to pick it up, she bumps the flower girl who has somehow managed to find the only chocolate within a 10 mile radius, and proceeds to smear it on her pretty little white dress. Her mother comes rushing across the room catching her sleeve on one of the buttons that seams the back of your wedding gown and sends it sailing across the room. As if this wasn't enough commotion, you slip a foot in your shoe and are suddenly stung by a bee residing within.
Believe it or not, there is no need to panic! First of all, it is highly unlikely that this entire situation would ever happen to a bride on her wedding day. It is likely however, that almost every bride will encounter at least one similar misfortune on her wedding day. Instead of worrying what may go wrong, get yourself prepared ahead of time, and breeze through any mishaps that mightcome your way. When accidents happen, even 15 minutes till vow time, you can be prepared to handle them with no time lost. Just follow the four simple steps below and stay calm by creating a personal survival sack for your special day.

Step 1:

Make your personal Survival List: Top 15 recommended items:
1. Super glue (reinstate your mother's pin)
2. Detergent Wipes(wipe chocolate from the flower girl's dress)
3. Clear thread and a needle (reattach a quick button)
4. A bee sting kit (highly recommended for outside venues)5. A small medical kit including: antacid tablets, your brand ofpain reliever, and bandaids (clear if possible)
6. Healthy snacks
7. A full, refillable water bottle with a straw (save the lipstick)
8. A small makeup kit including lip color, face powder, mirror compact
9. Wet wipes
10. Hairspray (you shouldn't need more than a travel size)11. Deodorant
12. Clear nail polish(stop a nylon run)
13. Safety pins(several sizes)
14. Breath mints (skip the gum, no one wants a lip smacking bridesmaid walking down the aisle)
15. Tape (scotch or masking)

Step 2:

Pick a Survivalist
You will need an assistant for this important task. A bridesmaid usually works best because they will likely be with you for your entire day's activities. The survivalist should also be someone responsible, and able to gather all the supplies needed.

Step 3:

The Survival Sack
-Get a bag large enough to hold all the supplies you plan on needing for the day. This will also make an excellent gift for your designated survivalist to keep and use after the occasion.

Step 4:

Delegate the Task
Give your chosen Survivalist a copy of the Survival List; make sure she is willing and able to take on the task. Once she has agreed, arm her with the Survival Sack. As an added touch, you may want to include a little thank you card as a surprise that she will find and be reminded that you are appreciative of her help in making your big day a bit more care free.
