When Julianna and Jordan met in 7th grade, Jordan told his mother that he was going to marry Julianna some day. The couple share similar backgrounds- both grew up on a farm- and for the middle school sweethearts it could be described as love at first sight. When Jordan decided it was time to propose, he had the perfect opportunity: Paris. Julianna’s family was traveling to Europe, and invited Jordan along. Before they left, Jordan asked her father for Julianna’s hand in marriage, and the plans were set. After a stop in England and then another in Holland, the family traveled to Paris; it was there, on the top of the Eiffel Tower that Jordan proposed in front of 25 family members.
When the wedding day arrived, it was clear the couple had taken special care to include plenty of meaningful details. Drawing from their romantic trip, the wedding was infused with European touches and carried an Old World theme for a magical look. Deep colors of burnt oranges, reds, and mass quantities of hanging amaranthus created the lush, romantic effect. Hundreds of candles warmed the tables, while several styles of centerpieces including topiaries, candelabras and tree limbs decorated with hanging crystals, further added an enchanting feel to the room. For the cocktail hour, an outdoor European market was created; wheels of cheeses imported from Holland, and a variety of fruits and meats were featured under a large lattis roof top adorned with hanging greenery, grapevines and lights. Finally, Paris and their engagement was showcased with an Eiffel Tower replica as a cake topper, and another 5 foot version displayed on their extravagant 16 foot candy bar. No detail in this luxurious celebration was overlooked; even the bride’s glamorous Ines Di Santo gown complemented the feel and theme of the event. In the end, the wedding vision was a success, encompassing love and style, all with a European flair.
